  Topical Call: Continuing Education Credits
 
 

Beginning with the February 2009 HRTW Topical Call, continuing education credits awarded through the University of Kentucky, College of Nursing are available for nurses. Credits can be obtained by listening to the call, or following the call, by listening to the audio recording or reading the written transcript of the call. The audio recording will be posted to the HRTW-U website within 7 working days following the call; the written transcript will be posted approximately 2-3 weeks following the call. The Continuing education contact hours can be obtained for the 2009 and 2010 Topical Calls until May 1, 2010. For questions, please contact kathyblomquist@hrtw.org.

To register for this course, click on the Registration button on the left side of the page, or go directly to https://www.ukconce.org/default.aspx. You can register for the nursing contact hours only AFTER the Topical Call has ended.

You will be asked for the name of the course for which you wish to register. Courses are in alphabetical order in the dropdown box. Choose the course title of the Topical Call for which you wish to receive the contact hour. You will be asked for a credit card number for the $15 charge. When you register you will receive information about how to take the Posttest and receive your Certificate.

The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

The Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) approves The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing (UKCON) as a provider as well. ANCC and KBN approval of a continuing nursing education provider does not constitute endorsement of program content nor commercial sponsors. This educational activity is offered for a maximum of 1.0 ANCC and 1.2 KBN contact hours for nurses who complete the entire program. Provider #: 3-0008-01-13-134. In order to receive credit, participants complete CNE activity and submit a credit application and evaluation form online. Certificates may be printed once the program is completed.

The HRTW Center is headquartered at the Maine State Title V CSHN Program. Activities are coordinated through the Maine Support Network's Center for Self-Determination, Health and Policy. The Center is funded through a cooperative agreement (U39MC06899-01-00) from the Integrated Services Branch, Division of Services for Children with Special Health Care Needs (DSCSHN) in the Federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
