Federal - Federal Poverty Guidelines

Federal Poverty Guidelines - or the "federal poverty level," define who is eligible for certain government programs. The Federal Poverty Guidelines are based on the family size and income and are applicable to the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. The federal government sets different guidelines for Alaska and Hawaii.
